Transforming Trauma Community
Welcome to our free online program and companion community for transformation, where we gather to share our individual processes of healing from shame & trauma. The toxic effects of shame & trauma can come from a number of sources – societal or religious socialization, abusive relationships as an adult, abuse received as a child, or even generational trauma handed down through DNA and/or family dynamics. We address all that here. While these forms of stored trauma can affect our physical health as well, that is not our primary focus – there are many forums that focus exclusively on physical wellness, and we honor those. Grief As Praise: Surrender into Love
Grief can feel overwhelming, all consuming…like you will be lost in it. Or one can feel numb…dead…unable to really grieve at all. The allowing of the experience of grief and recognizing it for the expression of love that it is, where grief no longer controls you…you’ve surrendered to it, but are not owned by it…THIS is being TRULY ALIVE, having moved beyond the societal shame and trauma surrounding authentic expression of our emotions and grief.
“Grief is praise, because it is the natural way love honors what it misses.” ~ Prechtel, Martín. The Smell of Rain on Dust
